Our Story

The Abbey Seal Beach

A Community Landmark

Located in the heart of Seal Beach, California, The Abbey is more than just a restaurant — it's a community hub where friends and family gather to enjoy innovative meals and craft beverages.

Established in 1997, our establishment has become a local landmark, famous for its wood-fired pizzas, signature burgers, and inventive appetizers. In 1998, baseball legend Mark McGwire wore our hats during his historic season, cementing The Abbey in sports history and putting Seal Beach on the map.

Under new management since 2010, proprietors Tom and Sheree continue to innovate while staying true to the original spirit — great food, cold craft beer, and a warm place where everyone feels welcome.
